melissa and david :: wedding

From our first meeting I knew Melissa and David were going to be a blast. It was just about a year ago when we sat down to discuss their wedding plans. At that time I got to hear about how they were looking into the possibility of leaving the church in a rickshaw - awesome! The couple was married at the beautiful St. Vincent de Paul Parish and the reception was at Salvatore's, an Italian restaurant(phenomenal food btw). We had a good chunk of time after the ceremony for photos and even dropped by their favorite Irish pub, Galway Arms, for a bit before the reception. It was the perfect day for a wedding and, as you can see below, the rickshaw totally happened. Congratulations!

 

priya and rajiv :: wedding

I had the incredible opportunity in August to shoot a gorgeous traditional Punjabi Sikh wedding. There were several different events I documented over the course of three days. This posting is the actual wedding day including the religious ceremony and reception both taking place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Tower. In case you don't remember Priya and Rajiv, I had blogged their engagement shoot here. This was one of my longest days shooting but soooooo exciting from beginning to end. I knew from our engagement shoot Priya and Rajiv were going to be a lot of fun and they certainly were. I am very thankful we stayed on schedule and I was able to take the couple outside for some shots. Big shout out to Drish Singh of Drish Couture whose fabulous planning made everything come together impeccably. I'm really excited to share these photos with you...enjoy!

keelin and chad :: engagement

Keelin and Chad are getting married next June and made the trip from Minnesota, where they are currently living, to Chicago for a visit and to have their engagement session. Leading up to our shoot date the forecast was touch and go and the morning of it was pouring. Fortunately, everything worked out and the rain subsided about 15 minutes into the shoot. We really wanted to maximize the afternoon and try a several ideas so we hit a few spots around the city. Since we hadn't met prior, I so enjoyed getting to know Keelin and Chad and hearing all about the preparations. Another very sweet couple I'm lucky to be working with.
